Grundkenntnistest Zürich
A study application for the Canton Zürich basic-knowledge test. It combines practice, sample exams and a record of previous attempts in a browser app.

A way to practise
This personal project turns a question bank into individual question cards. Practice gives immediate feedback, with German and English explanations. Sample exams offer a separate way to test recall.
Questions can be flagged for review. The app records correct and incorrect attempts, so revision can focus on questions that need more work.
Continue where you stopped
Active sessions and test history are saved in the browser. An unfinished session can be resumed after a refresh, and completed tests can be reviewed or retaken. Progress can also be exported and imported.
Small by design
The app uses HTML, CSS and JavaScript without a backend. A service worker caches it for offline use after the first load on a supported host. Progress belongs to the browser rather than an account.
Sample-exam selection gives more weight to questions attempted less often and reduces repeats from recent sample exams.
Current status
A working browser application for Canton Zürich, with practice, sample exams and progress saved on the device.
